Daniel Hoevels was born in Sweden in 1978. He studied political science from 1997 to 2000 in Berlin and then studied acting from 2001 to 2004 at Hamburg's University of Music and Theatre. He was then a member of the city's Thalia Theater ensemble from 2004 to 2009. There he appeared in numerous productions, working under directors such as David Bösch, Jorinde Dröse, Andreas Kriegenburg, Stephan Kimmig, Jette Steckel, Armin Petras and Nicolas Stemann. Hoevels has been a member of the DT ensemble since the 2009/10 season. Here he’s performed in Stephan Kimmig’s production of Mary Stuart and Roger Vontobel’s version of All My Sons. Daniel Hoevels can currently be seen in Andreas Kriegenburg’s stagings of Thieves by Dea Loher and Slaves, a selection of one-act plays by Georges Courteline. He also plays Howard Roark in Capitalista, Baby! and Günter Guillaumein Michael Frayn’s Democracy (both directed by Tom Kühnel and Jürgen Kuttner).
