Alexander Stutz
Alexander Stutz, born in 1992, grew up in a small village near Zurich. He completed an apprenticeship as a designer. Then he moved to Germany, where he worked in the independent theater Tempus fugit. Alongside, he directs and directs to date at various amateur theater clubs in the Zurich area. In 2019, he graduated from the Zurich University of the Arts with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater, practice field Directing. He is currently expanding and sharpening his artistic position in the Master of Arts at the Zurich University of the Arts, also in the practice field of directing. Before and during his studies in directing, Alexander Stutz was active in the independent scene with various accomplices. Among others, they were represented with let's talk about money, honey at the spontan Festival in Zurich and at the 100 grad Festival in Berlin, or at the Theater Stadelhofen at the Gipfel der Frechheit with Naomi., or with intim, öffentlich! at the Wildwuchs Festival in Basel. In 2020/2021 he is one of four participants of the DRAMENPROZESSOR, a platform for the promotion of authors initiated by Theater Winkelwiese. This resulted in his debut play Das Augenlid ist ein Muskel, which led to the founding of the association "radikal/plüsch". In the 2021/2022 season, Alexander Stutz is engaged as an in-house playwright at Theater St.Gallen as part of the support program for new Swiss drama "Stück Labor".
