Karin Lithman was born in Sweden in 1976. From 1998 to 2002 she attended the Lund University Theatre School in Malmö. After engagements at the Blekinge Kronoberg Regional Theatre and Riksteatern, she made her debut at Malmö City Theatre in 2004. Since then she has performed in classical plays, modern dramas and experimental theatre, including The Cherry Orchard, Crime and Punishment, The Seagull, Much Ado About Nothing, Movements, Kasimir & Karoline, The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant, Det svarta vattnet (The Black Water) and Miss Julie. Karin Lithman regularly appears in front of the camera for film and television productions (e.g. Beck and Arne Dahl).
