Nora Abdel-Maksoud, born in Munich in 1983, is an actress, playwright and director. She studied acting at the Hochschule für Film und Fernsehen Konrad Wolf in Potsdam-Babelsberg. Since 2009 she has been working as a freelance actress and director. She has performed at the Hans Otto Theater Potsdam and in feature films, as well as the Maxim Gorki Theater and the Ballhaus Naunynstraße. In 2012 she showed her first directorial work Hunting von Trier at the Ballhaus Naunynstraße, which was broadcast in a radio play version on Deutschlandradio Kultur. She also directed at the Maxim Gorki Theater, Neue Theater Halle and the Munich Volkstheater. Her production Café Populaire was invited to the Swiss Theatertreffen and the Radikal Jung Festival in 2019.
