The Autor:innentheatertage (ATT) is our contemporary drama festival. Drawing on a long tradition, it has become a fixture in the calendar but is constantly rejuvenated: In 2020, the ATT initiated a new series of short plays to run parallel to the festival. In 2021, a new residency programme for dramatists was added. 2022 saw playwrights establish a new joint book project.
And 2023 will also be special: instead of a competition, the Deutsches Theater is planning a major playwriting event in May, in which several world premieres will take place during a single Long Night (Lange Nacht). Participating writers will include Caren Jeß, Nele Stuhler and Lukas Bärfuss. We are also looking forward to guest performances of new plays from German-speaking regions.

In addition to the world premieres and guest performances, the festival will also be presenting other contemporary dramatic texts.
