Felix Goeser

Felix Goeser was born in 1974 in Cologne. From 1996 to 2000 he studied acting at the Film University Babelsburg "Konrad Wolf". His engagements have taken him to the Theater am Turm Frankfurt, the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg, the Burgtheater Vienna and the Staatstheater Stuttgart. He has worked with directors including Einar Schleef, Nicolas Stemann, Studio Braun and Karin Henkel. Felix Goeser was awarded the Alfred Kerr Acting Prize for his role as Platonow in Chekhov’s play of the same name under the direction of Karin Henkel, and was voted Actor of the Year 2006 in the critics’ poll of the magazine Theater heute. The audio play Coldhaven by John Burnside (director: Klaus Buhlert), in which Goeser is the narrator, was chosen as Audio Play of the Year in 2017 by the Academy of the Arts and was awarded the Hörspielpreis der Kriegsblinden (War-Blinded Audio Play Prize). Goeser has been a member of the Deutsches Theater ensemble since the 2009/10 season, and has performed in productions by Stephan Kimmig, Christopher Rüping, Stefan Pucher, Jan Bosse, Jette Steckel, Sebastian Hartmann as well as Tom Kühnel and Jürgen Kuttner. Currently he can be seen in Zdeněk Adamec, Franziska Linkerhand,Three Sisters, Before Dawn, The Captain of Köpenick, It Can’t Happen Here, Ghosts and Tape.
