Linda Pöppel was born in 1985 in Berlin. From 2005 to 2007 she was a member of the Volksbühne’s youth theatre group P14 in Berlin. From 2007 to 2011 she studied acting at the Westfälische Schauspielschule Bochum. During this time she was also a guest actor at the Schauspielhaus Bochum and appeared in film and TV productions. From 2010 to 2013 she was a member of the ensemble at the Centraltheater Leipzig and worked among others with Sebastian Hartmann, Sebastian Baumgarten, Robert Borgmann, Alexander Eisenach, Michael Schweighöfer and Martin Laberenz. From the 2013/14 to the 2015/16 season Linda Pöppel was an ensemble member at Schauspiel Frankfurt where she continued her collaboration with Sebastian Hartmann and Alexander Eisenach. She also worked with René Pollesch, Ersan Mondtag and Jürgen Kruse as well as in the dance-theatre production Macbeth with the choreographer Dave St. Pierre. Since the 2016/17 season she has been a member of the ensemble at the Deutsches Theater, where she maintains a close working relationship with Jürgen Kruse and Sebastian Hartmann. For her portrayal of Maria in In Tin Foil she was nominated several times as actress of the year in the critics' survey of Theater heute 2019. Currently Linda Pöppel can be seen in The Magic Mountain, 4.48 Psychosis, Faith Love Hope, Lear, Hunger. Peer Gynt, In Tin Foil, Ulysses, The Misunderstanding and King Ubu.
