In joint research, DT ensemble member Helmut Mooshammer and pianist Senka Brankovic have developed a literary-musical program that accompanies the Jewish cultural life of the 19th and 20th centuries in Austria and Germany in its ups and downs. It presents its heyday, laments the darkest days of human and artistic degradation, and then celebrates survival, the courage of art and creativity, and the will to live.
With texts by Isaac Singer, Stefan Zweig, Joseph Roth, Mascha Kaléko, Viktor Frankl and Carl Zuckmayer, among others. Music by Alexander Zemlinsky, Erich Wolfgang Korngold and Arnold Schönberg, among others.
