Jan Friedrich
Jan Friedrich, born 1992 in Lutherstadt Eisleben, studied contemporary puppetry at the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst "Ernst Busch" in Berlin and was holding a scholarship of the Literary Colloquium Berlin. He works as an author, dramaturge, actor, stage and costume designer and as a director. His plays premiered at Schauspiel Hannover and Deutsches Theater Berlin. He has worked as a director at Schauspiel Dortmund, Junge Nationaltheater Mannheim, Schauspiel Hannover, Schauburg München and Theater Oberhausen. His production of Goethe's Faust in Mannheim was nominated for the German Theatre Prize DER FAUST in 2017. With Spring Awakening, a production at the Münchner Schauburg, he was nominated for the festival Augenblick mal! 2019 in Berlin. Dear Yelena Sergeyevna is Jan Friedrich's first production at the Deutsches Theater Berlin.
