Deniz Orta was born in Bremen in 1991 and grew up here. After studying the visual arts with a focus on multimedia, film and performance at the Universität der Künste Berlin, she studied acting at the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst „Ernst Busch“, Berlin. Even before completing her studies, she performed at the bat-Studiotheater and the Schaubühne am Lehninerplatz Berlin, in Oray (2017) for the ZDF Kleines Fernsehspiel and in a regular role in the Netflix series Dogs of Berlin. Her first permanent engagement was at Theater Bremen, where she made her debut in Love You, Dragonfly under the direction of Armin Petras, the new in-house director for musical theatre and the dramatic stage. With this play Orta will also be seen at the Autorentheatertage 2019 at Deutsches Theater Berlin for a guest performance.
