Fania Sorel
Fania Sorel was born in Belgium in 1971. She was a member of the Ro Theater ensemble in Rotterdam for more than ten years. There she had a close working relationship with the director Alize Zandwijk. The two of them made a joint name for themselves particularly with the oeuvre of the playwright Dea Loher and produced numerous Dutch debuts of her plays. Sorel has been a permanent member of Theater Bremen’s dramatic stage ensemble since the 2016/17 season and has played in Alize Zandwijk’s Der gute Mensch von Sezuan, Golden Heart, Fremdes Haus and Gas, Frank Abt’s Knausgård II: Lieben, Felix Rothenhäusler’s Mr. Robot and other works. She is presently performing in Love You, Dragonfly, which will be coming to the Deutsches Theater Berlin as a guest performance at the Autorentheatertage 2019.
