Simon Zigah
Simon Zigah was born in Hamburg in 1983 and studied acting there at the Bühnenstudio der Darstellenden Künste. He has performed on several stages since 2003, among them Kampnagel, Thalia Theater, Altonaer and St. Pauli Theater in Hamburg, Schauspiel Frankfurt, Berliner Renaissance Theater, Staatstheater Nürnberg, Landesbühne Hannover, Vereinigte Bühnen Krefeld Mönchengladbach, Landestheater Tübingen and Théatre des Capucine Luxembourg. He was a member of the Bad Hersfeld Festspiele ensemble from 2006 to 2009 and in 2009 received the Hersfeld Prize for his rendition of Polyphemus in Torsten Fischer’s Odyssee. He entered a permanent engagement at Theater Bremen’s Moks in the 2010/11 season and in 2013 changed to the theatre’s dramatic stage. There he has had roles in Alize Zandwijk’s Der gute Mensch von Sezuan, Selen Kara’s song recital BANG BANG, Alexander Riemenschneider’s Amerika and Klaus Schuhmacher’s Tom Sawyer. He started this season in Love You, Dragonfly and will also be performing this play at the Autorentheatertage 2019 at Deutsches Theater Berlin.
