Milchwald
by Fritz Kater
"Upside down. Boy, you turn me. Inside out. And round and round." (Diana Ross) - From Bremen to Polesia and back. Milchwald is a fast-paced road trip. Laila lives in Bremen with her children, as does bodybuilder and parcel courier Sylvester. The young lecturer Delia, the former dancer Mrs. Niebuhr and her son Benny, a multi-talent on a quest, live here. Fine lines connect them all with each other and with Dylan, who has his very own past and yet holds the threads of history in his hands. Six Bremen residents become a community of destiny. When Laila is deported, the others set out on an adventurous journey to get her back. This leads them not only to the outer border of the EU between Poland and Ukraine, but also questions their own certainties. Fritz Kater has written a play full of leaps, condensations and changes of perspective that portrays people of our time and their polarizing questions.
