Edgar Eckert

Edgar Eckert was born in Toronto in 1982 and grew up in Basel. After gaining his first acting experiences at the Junges Theater Basel he spent two years at the drama school "Cours Florent" in Paris, before completing his acting studies at the University of Music and Theatre "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" in Leipzig. From 2009 to 2013, he was engaged at the Centraltheather in Leipzig. This was followed by two seasons at the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf. On his theatrical journey to date, he has worked with the likes of Sascha Hawemann, Jürgen Kruse, Martin Laberenz, Sebastian Hartmann, Alexander Eisenach, Alia Luque and Nurkan Erpulat. From 2015 to 2020 he was an ensemble member at the Deutsches Theater Berlin.
