Anja Schneider
Anja Schneider, born in 1977 in Altenburg, studied at the University of Performing Arts "Ernst Busch" in Berlin from 1997 to 2001. After her studies, she went to Schauspiel Leipzig, where she began a close collaboration with Armin Petras. In 2005, Anja Schneider received the Otto Kasten Prize for Up-and-Coming Actor of the Year. A year later, she moved to the Maxim Gorki Theater (artistic director: Armin Petras) and in June 2010 was awarded the theatre prize of the Friends of the Maxim Gorki Theater. From 2013 to 2015 she was a member of the ensemble at Schauspiel Stuttgart, where in addition to her work with Armin Petras, she began working with Stephan Kimmig. At the Deutsches Theater Berlin, where she has been engaged since the 2016/17 season, she has worked in close collaboration with Daniela Löffner. In addition, Anja Schneider can be seen in numerous film and TV productions. At the Deutsches Theater Berlin she is currently acting in The Silent Trabants, The Glass Menagerie and Grounded.
