On a summer evening, six big-city dwellers and a young child take to the road in a Volkswagen bus. They head out to the forest to barbeque and enjoy a break from their normal routine. There these people – who might call themselves friends – plan to eat, drink, talk, laugh, sleep and dream. The forest floor is warm and the grass crackles underfoot – it hasn’t rained in weeks. At some point, full of food and contentment, the city folk doze off. But suddenly they’re awakened by a heat so intense it takes their breath away, by a fire that has encircled them, an inferno that devours life as they know it. After this, nothing will ever be the same again.
