Bendix Fesefeldt, born in 1989 in Hamburg, moved to France after finishing school to study Political Science. He went on to study in Tel Aviv and at the Freie Universität Berlin, where he completed his master's degree in International Relations. While studying, he worked for four months as a programme coordinator at the Institut Français in Ramallah, Palestine. After graduating, he worked as an assistant dramaturg at the performance Festival Foreign Affairs, where among other things he headed the accompanying student programme Student Affairs. Since 2014 he has been studying theatre directing at the "Ernst Busch" Academy of Dramatic Art in Berlin, while also job shadowing and working as an assistant dramaturg for Christopher Rüping, Nicolas Stemann and Peter Kleinert. He is also a member of the association Inklud, which promotes cultural inclusion for the socially disadvantaged with visits to the theatre. Bendix Fesefeldt is working as a freelance dramaturg at the Deutsches Theater on the production Lesbos – Blackbox Europa.
