Jonathan Mertz

Born in 1986 in Stuttgart, Mertz studied Free Art and Stage Design under Raimund Bauer at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Hamburg and under Marie-José Burki at the École Nationale Supérieur des Beaux Arts in Paris. During his studies he was involved in and organised many exhibitions. During this time, Mertz also began collaborating with Christopher Rüping, developing stage sets for Hass (Hate) at St. Pauli Theater Hamburg as well as PHILOKTET – mein hass gehört mir and Jekyll/Hyde , both at Kampnagel in Hamburg.
