Born in 1974 in Berlin, Rohde initially studied Law in Potsdam and Berlin. During his studies he took part in film and TV productions, and discovered his passion for acting. He decided to break off his studies and learn the craft of acting at a private school in Berlin. After finishing the course, he made his debut in the Box of the Deutsches Theater in the production Weine Nicht in 2007, directed by Robert Borgmann. During the 2008/09 season, he also had a role at the DT in Caligula, directed by Jette Steckel. He is a member of a private theatre ensemble in Spandau and also works as a unit manager at the Institut für Film- und Fernsehberufe (Institute for Film and TV Professions) in Berlin.
