Daniele Pintaudi was born in Switzerland, of Italian origin. He studied piano in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Zurich, Paris and Basel, followed by acting in Geneva and experimental music theatre in Berne. In recent years he has worked as an actor and musician at various theatres, including Theater Basel, Deutsches Theater Berlin, Théâtre Vidy Lausanne, Gessnerallee Zürich, Schauspielhaus Zürich, Konzert Theater Bern, Hebbel am Ufer (HAU) and Radialsystem Berlin, Théâtre Le Poche Geneva, Théâtre Le Public Brussels, Théâtre Populaire Romand and Théâtre ABC La Chaux-de-Fonds. Continuous collaboration with the Swiss director Thom Luz, with whose plays he has appeared in France, Germany, Iceland, Finland, Israel, Poland, Holland, Switzerland and at the Venice Biennale. He has also appeared in two productions by Ruedi Häusermann in recent years. In 2018 he premiered Davide Carnevali's new solo piece at the Munich Biennale and at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin: A portrait of the artist as dead.
