Justus Pfankuch
Justus Pfankuch, born 1988 in Hamburg, first studied musicology at the University of Hamburg before beginning his acting studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy in Leipzig. He graduated with a Master of Arts degree in 2015. During his studies he was part of the Schauspielstudio at the Staatsschauspiel Dresden under the direction of Wilfried Schulz. Works with Bettina Brunnier and Susanne Lietzow. After his studies, engagement at the Schauspiel Frankfurt under the direction of Oliver Reese. There he worked together with Julie Van den Berghe and Ulrich Rasche. Justus Pfankuch has been working as a freelance actor since 2017. His engagements include the Theater Basel, Schauspiel Frankfurt, Staatsschauspiel Dresden, Residenztheater Munich, as well as the Salzburg Festival and the Burgtheater Vienna. Participation in Ulrich Rasche´s productions Woyzeck at Theater Basel (Berliner Theatertreffen 2018) and Das Große Heft at Staatsschauspiel Dresden (Berliner Theatertreffen 2019). In the 2019/20 season he will be seen in the new production by Ulrich Rasche 4.48 Psychose on the stage of the Deutsches Theater Berlin, which will celebrate its premiere in January 2020.
