Thorsten Hierse
Thorsten Hierse was born in 1981. From 2001 to 2004 he studied philosophy and German literature in Göttingen. From 2004 to 2008 he studied acting at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media and subsequently worked at the Schauspiel Hannover and at the Thalia Theater Hamburg. In 2010 he was awarded the Boy-Gobert-Prize of the Körber-Foundation. From 2009 to 2011 he was part of the ensemble of the Junges Schauspielhaus Hamburg, where he played the title role in Hamlet (directed by Klaus Schumacher) as well as in The Just Assassins and Of Mice and Men (director: Alexander Riemenschneider). From 2011 to 2020 he was an ensemble member at the Deutsches Theater Berlin and can be seen in productions by Alexander Riemenschneider, Frank Abt, Matthias Rippert and Anne Lenk, among others.
