Jonas Link
Jonas Link, born in Würzburg in 1987, studied media technology at the HAW in Hamburg and at the same time assisted Peter Baur, Meika Dresenkamp and Studio Braun, among others, at the Thalia Theater. After graduating in 2013, he worked as a video designer for the musical performance One Day by British musician Matthew Herbert during the Lessingtage festival at Thalia Theater. At Thalia in the Gauss, Jonas Link was video artist for the production Gertrud by Hjalmar Söderberg (directed by Eirik Stubø) in winter 2014. In spring 2016 he is developing video animations for the staged concert Bye Bye Beethoven by violinist Patricia Kopatchinskaja. A second collaboration took place with Dies Irae a year later as part of the Lucerne Festival. In the 16/17 season, Jonas Link collaborated with Ulrich Rasche in the production Sieben gegen Theben/Antigone at Schauspiel Frankfurt. In fall 2019, he worked with director Angela Richter on the world premiere of Slavoj Žižek's Antigona at the Croatian National Theater in Zagreb. Since 2013 Jonas Link has had an ongoing collaboration with director Bastian Kraft and set designer Peter Baur. They have previously worked together at the Schauspielhaus Zurich, Vienna's Burgtheater, Schauspiel Köln, Deutsches Theater Berlin and Thalia Theater in Hamburg. For Die Schwerkraft der Verhältnisse at the Akademietheater, Peter Baur and Jonas Link were nominated for the Nestroy in the category "Best Set Design".
