Thilo Reuther
Thilo Reuther completed his set design studies with Achim Freyer at the AdK University of the Arts in Berlin, gaining a master’s degree. Since 1994 he has worked as a stage and costume designer, as well as lighting and video designer for opera, theatre and dance. In recent years he has worked with directors including Hasko Weber, Sebastian Baumgarten, Hermann Schmidt-Rahmer and Karin Henkel, and choreographers Anna Huber and Sasha Waltz, in Berlin, Hamburg, Weimar, Essen, Düsseldorf, Stuttgart, Zurich, Paris and St. Petersburg. From 2008 to 2013 he was nominated for the German Theatre Prize The Faust. In 2013 he was invited to the 50th Theatertreffen in Berlin with the production of Brecht’s Saint Joan of the Stockyards directed by Sebastian Baumgarten. In 2014 he was nominated for the Russian Golden Mask Theatre Award for his lighting design for Le Sacre du Printemps (choreography Sasha Waltz) at the Mariinski Theatre in St Petersburg.
