Hans Löw

Born in Bremen in 1976, Hans Löw began studying acting at the Otto-Falckenberg-Schule in Munich. During his degree he already appeared in productions at the Münchner Kammerspiele directed by Dieter Dorn (Cymbeline,Amphitryon), Peter Wittenberg (Dulce est), Erich Sidler (The Venetian Twins) and Jan Bosse (Our Forests Haven’t Been This Wild Forever). From 2001 to 2009, Hans Löw was a member of the Thalia Theater ensemble. Here he played Edmund in King Lear by Shakespeare (directed by Andreas Kriegenburg), the title role in Hamlet by Shakespeare (directed by Michael Thalheimer), in a time to love a time to die and we are camera by Fritz Kater (directed by Armin Petras), Etienne in A Flea in Her Ear by Georges Feydeau (directed by Martin Kusej), Eilert Lövborg in Hedda Gabler (directed by Stephan Kimmig), Clavigo in Clavigo by Goethe (directed by David Bösch) and Faust in Urfaust by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (directed by Andreas Kriegenburg). In December 2004 Hans Löw was the recipient of the Körber Foundation’s Boy Gobert Award, which honours the special achievements of young actors on Hamburg’s stages.
