Alexander Khuon

Alexander Khuon was born in Freiburg in 1979 and trained as an actor at the "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" University of Music and Theatre in Leipzig from 1999 to 2001. During his studies he already performed at the Staatsschauspiel Dresden and from 2002 he worked at Schauspiel Köln. Since the 2004/2005 season, Khuon has been a member of the Deutsches Theater ensemble. He has performed in productions by Jürgen Gosch, in Stories from here: Faith, Love & Hope (a project by Frank Abt), Michael Thalheimer, Dušan David Parizek, Christian Petzold and Stephan Kimmig. Currently he can be seen in a number of productions, including Jean-Paul Sartres The chips are down (director: Jette Steckel), Friel’s Fathers and Sons based on the novel by Turgenew (director: Daniela Löffner), in Dietrich Brüggemann's Father (director: Dietrich Brüggemann), Chekov’s The Seagull (director: Jürgen Gosch), in The Silent Trabants by Clemens Meyer (director: Armin Petras) and in Mary Stuart by Friedrich Schiller (director: Anne Lenk). In 2011, Alexander Khuon was awarded the Gertrud-Eysoldt-Ring for his outstanding performance as the writer Trigorin in The Seagull. Currently, he performs in Birthday Candles (director: Anna Bergmann) at Deutsches Theater.
