Corinna Harfouch

The actress Corinna Harfouch was born in Suhl and studied at the "Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Art" in Berlin. After completing her studies she acted on all major stages. Corinna Harfouch has received many awards for her work in theatre: in 1997 she received the Getrud-Eysoldt-Ring for Outstanding Achievements in Acting and in the same year was voted Actress of the Year by the magazine Theater heute for her role as General Harras in Des Teufels General (The Devil’s General), directed by Frank Castorf. Since first standing in front of a film camera, she has acted in more than 80 cinema and TV films. Corinna Harfouch has also received many awards for her work in film, including the Bavarian Film Award, the Grimme Award, the German Television Award, German Film Award, German Acting Award, the Günter Rohrbach Film Award and the Hessian Film Award. At the Deutsches Theater Berlin she can currently be seen in Phaedra (director: Stephan Kimmig), The Seagull (director: Jürgen Gosch) and Birthday Candles (director: Anna Bergmann).
