Leila Abdullah was born in Vienna. After graduating from high school she is a member of a dance company and studies art history at the University of Vienna. In 1989 she moved to Berlin and began her at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts. This was followed by at the Schauspiel Bonn, at the Niedersächsisches Staatstheater Hannover, at the Thalia Theater in Thalia Theater in Hamburg. Since 2009 she has been working as a freelance actress, including at the Deutsches Theater Berlin, Maxim Gorki Theater, Theater Bremen and Werk-X in Vienna. She has worked with directors such as Jorinde Dröse, Alize Zandwijk, Armin Petras, Ali.M.Abdullah, Andreas Kriegenburg, Stephan Kriegenburg, Stephan Kimmig, Dimiter Gotscheff. Currently she plays at the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf the play Identitti by Mithu Sanyal and from November 12 in the production by Jette Steckel The Welkin (Das Himmelszelt).
