Jörg Pose

Jörg Pose was born in 1959 in Rostock. After graduating from Leipzig's Hans Otto Drama School (now part of the University of Music and Theatre "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy"), he worked at Schauspiel Leipzig, in Frankfurt an der Oder and in Bonn. He played at Schauspielhaus Frankfurt/Main from 1991 to 1996, before he moved to Düsseldorf's Schauspielhaus. From 2000 to 2001 he worked at the Bavarian State Theatre in Munich and the following two years at the Frankfurt Schauspielhaus. There he worked with directors such as André Wilms, Anselm Weber, Thirza Bruncken, Dimiter Gotscheff and Armin Petras. Jörg Pose joined the Thalia Theater ensemble in January 2003. There he worked until 2009 in productions by Andreas Kriegenburg, Stephan Kimmig, Dimiter Gotscheff, Alize Zandwijk, René Pollesch and Armin Petras. Jörg Pose has been a member of the DT ensemble since the start of the 2009/2010 season where he has continued his collaboration with Kriegenburg in productions such as The Prince of Homburg, Molière's The Misanthrope, Dea Loher's Thieves, Lessing’s Nathan the Wise and Kafka's A Cage Went in Search of a Bird.
