Kathrin Plath

Kathrin Plath studied theatre studies, art history and politics. From 1993 to 1996 she worked at the Volksbühne in Berlin as a costume assistant and since 1997 she has been a freelance costume designer, working at theatres including the Münchner Kammerspiele, the Schauspeielhaus Zürich, the Schauspielhaus Hamburg, the Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin, the Burgtheater in Vienna, the Thalia Theater Hamburg and the Deutsches Theater Berlin, as well as at the Oper Basel and Oper Frankfurt. Kathrin Plat designs costumes for productions by Jan Bosse on a regular basis, for example for Endgame by Samuel Beckett, and Autumn Sonata based on the film by Ingmar Bergman at the Deutsches Theater.
