Ken Chinea

Born in 1990 in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. His bachelor's degree at the theatre faculty of the University of Puerto Rico was followed by a master's degree in stage design at the TU Berlin with Frank Hänig. During his studies, he designed various sets and sets in the fields of theatre, photography and film in Puerto Rico and Berlin. He gained further practical experience through further training at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and with assistantships at the Schaubühne, Deutsches Theater Berlin and Schauspiel Hannover. Since the 2021/22 season, Ken Chinea has been working as a freelance artist, stage and costume designer, among others with independent groups in Hanover and Berlin as well as at Schauspiel Hanover and Theater Heidelberg.
