Franziska Machens

Franziska Machens was born in 1984 in Hildesheim, and studied acting from 2005 to 2009 at the Otto Falckenberg School of the Performing Arts in Munich. During this time she could be seen at the Schauspielhaus Zürich in Alvis Hermanis’ production of Der Idiot. Anfang des Romans (The Idiot. Start of the Novel). From 2009 to 2013 she was a member of the ensemble at the Schauspielhaus Zürich and played Rosalinde in As You Like It (director: Sebastian Nübling) and Hilde Wangel in The Master Builder (director: Barbara Frey). Since the 2013/14 season she has been a member of the Deutsches Theater ensemble, where she worked among others with Anne Lenk, Jette Steckel, Anna Bergmann and Charlotte Sprenger.
