Alexandra Finder
Born in Berlin, Alexandra Finder studied at the "Ernst Busch" Academy of Dramatic Art from 2000 to 2004 before joining the ensemble at the Staatstheater Wiesbaden for four years. In 2008 she performed in Janusz Wisniewski’s production of Noah’s Ark – The new end of Europe in Poznań and other European cities, as well as in Tel Aviv. Since then she has worked as a freelance actor and been a guest actor at the Deutsches Theater Berlin, the Schaubühne in Berlin, the Markgrafentheater Erlangen, the Staatstheater Saarbrücken, the Stadttheater Gießen and Schauspiel Frankfurt. She has had roles in numerous film and TV productions, including the film Brinkmanns Zorn (Brinkmann’s Wrath) by Harald Bergmann, which won the Grimme Award. In 2004, Alexandra Finder won the Giraldillo de Plata Award in Seville for Best Actress in Philip Gröning’s film Die Frau des Polizisten (The Police Officer’s Wife). The film premiered in 2013 at the 70th Venice Film Festival, where it was awarded the Special Jury Prize. In 2012 she got to know Jürgen Kruse at Schauspiel Frankfurt. Das Missverständnis (The Misunderstanding) in the Kammerspiele is their fourth collaboration.
