"...and they all rise up at the same time / from their poles / and flutter up into the dome / as if they had seen the hole up there in the iron grid / only now..."
The actress Jutta Wachowiak, born 1940, plays the guard in a mysterious park. Dinosaurs are bred here. It is supposed to be an amusement park. She secretly takes a little dinosaur home with her. He grows and grows, learns tricks and performs in the zoo. The history of the park, which you are neither allowed to leave nor enter uncontrolled, mixes with the biography of Wachowiak. She has a lot to tell: about war, about a country that no longer exists, about the country in which she now lives. Once extremely successful in film and theatre in the GDR and awarded several prizes, nothing is as it was for the actress after the opening of the park. They opened the windows. The new freedom could not be enjoyed. The ignorance of abilities, knowledge, ideas and experiences and the disappointment about them lead her to a new beginning in Essen, to work with young directors, and back to Berlin to the Deutsches Theater in a former amusement park.
