Nico van Wersch
Nico van Wersch, born in 1987, studied composition and contemporary guitar playing. Residing in Berlin, he works as a freelance composer, sound artist and guitarist. Nico is a long-time collaborator of Ulrich Rasche with whom he has had the privilege to create his debauched scores - among others at the Burgtheater Vienna, the Salzburg Festival, Schauspiel Frankfurt, Residenztheater Munich, the Athens-Epidauros Festival and the Deutsches Theater Berlin.
Furthermore, Nico van Wersch stood out as a guitarist, as a guest and soloist with Ensemble Modern, Ensemble Musikfabrik of the Volksbühne Berlin, among others - in the context of his intensive collaboration with Helmut Oehring and Ari Benjamin Meyers. For the Deutsches Theater he is currently realizing, together with Rasche - after Psychosis 4.48 and Oedipus - his third production at the house: Leonce und Lena in the season 22/23.
