Fatoni
Born in Munich in 1984, Anton Schneider experienced the golden era of German rap in the late nineties. His heroes are Samy Deluxe, Freundeskreis and Co, they smoke plants and explain the world to him in freestyles; he also wants to be part of this youth movement. Together with his friends, he founds the rap crew "Creme Fresh", which in its time becomes one of the most important pieces of the subculture puzzle in Munich - only in the 0s there is not so much room in German rap for the philosophies of post-pubescent middle-class people. After almost 10 years of band history, the commercial breakthrough still doesn't want to happen. In search of an honest profession and a little more security, Anton auditions at the Otto Falckenberg School and is promptly accepted. What he didn't suspect at the time was that a good ten years later he would find the role of a lifetime as Fatoni. Deutschrap's sharpest observer with a mischievous sense of humour and a cynical index finger knows how to rack his brains - first in his bourgeois, intellectual parental home, then in nineties rap and finally in acting. In addition to successful studio albums, features with Max Herre, Die Höchste Eisenbahn, Antilopen Gang, Casper, Deichkind and many more, exciting collabo projects with artists like Mine and Edgar Wasser, a permanent engagement at the Augsburg Theatre and numerous television appearances as a performer and musician, Fatoni is experiencing his second career spring in his mid-thirties. The main reason for this is "Yo, Picasso", the album on which Fatoni fought a duel with platinum producer Dexter in 2015 and found a new voice. It was the record that Fatoni himself no longer believed in, and it already contained much of what makes him such a brilliant storyteller today: his incredibly precise view of events and the witty charm with which he comments on society, without ever excluding himself. Life writes the most beautiful stories, they say. Fatoni writes the second most beautiful.
