How To Sell Yourself to the West
Lecture-Performance by and with Ada Mukhína
In her new project, Ada Mukhína explores strategies in various institutions that help artists succeed in the Western art world. She reflects on her own experiences as a theatremaker from ‘evil Russia’ and on stories of artists from other countries who want to ‘make it’ in the West. In this episode at the DT, learn what you need to do to become famous in the West, obtain honorary membership or at least end up posthumously in the art archive. This performative lecture focuses on the advantages of identity, unique selling points and representation strategies.
