Moritz Grewenig

Moritz Grewenig gained experience during his studies as a cameraman and assistant director on various television and film productions. Since 2009 he is working as a freelance video artist, cameraman and photographer. Engagements have taken him to the Vienna Burgtheater, the Schauspielhaus Zurich, the Deutsches Theater Berlin and the Schaubühne Berlin, where he has worked with directors Stefan Bachmann, Fabian Alder and Felicitas Braun, among others. Moritz Grewenig is responsible for the video image of the production of Tolstois Krieg und Frieden at the Vienna Burgtheater (awarded the Nestroy Theatre Prize in 2010) and Die letzten Zeugen (invited to the Berlin Theatertreffen in 2013). He has a close working relationship with Lilja Rupprecht, whose productions of Jeff Koons (Schaubühne Berlin), Iphigenie (Staatstheater Karlsruhe) and Überwältigung von Thomas Melle (Nibelungenfestspiele Worms) were video-artistically supervised by him. Most recently, he made the video for the world premiere of Thomas Melle's Ode directed by Lilja Rupprecht at the Kammerspiele of the Deutsches Theater Berlin.
