For whom are the so-called "Superfoods" actually good? Who produces them and under what conditions? Is this just about the eating habits of the rich North? Climate change and population growth are exacerbating food crises. What are the alternatives to the current system? Gülay Caglar is Professor of Political Science with a focus on gender and diversity at Freie Universität Berlin and is a member of the Contestations of the Liberal Script (SCRIPTS) Cluster of Excellence. She heads the newly founded Master's program in Gender, Intersectionality, and Politics at the Otto Suhr Institute and researches, among other things, alternative nutrition systems. In an interview with Cilja Harders, she investigates the connection between our daily bread and worldwide inequalities.
