Jan Jordan

Vita

Jan Jordan, born in Hanover in 1999, is a theatre maker and musician. After permanent engagements at Schauspiel Hannover (2017-2019) and Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz (2019-2021), he has been working as an assistant director at the Deutsches Theater since 2023. There he has worked on the productions Du bist nicht mit Gold zu bezahlen! (You Can't Pay with Gold!) and Darf mein Molch mit in den Himmel? (Can My Newt Come to Heaven?)

He has worked with directors such as Thorleifur Örn Arnasson, Susanne Kennedy, Jan Christoph Gockel, Martin Laberenz, Sascha Hawemann, Milan Peschel and Alexander Eisenach. In 2021, his feature film debut Die Großen (The Great Ones) was released, a farewell to the Macedonian ruler Alexander. In 2022, he initiated a continuing jazz concert series at Horns Erben in Leipzig, which focuses on the historic Hammond B3 organ. Since 2023, this event has also been held regularly at the Deutsches Theater under the name MAGIC HAMMOND XXL.
