Jelena Miletić studied costume design at the University of Applied Arts in Belgrade. She then assisted at the Wiesbaden State Theatre, where she designed her own costumes. She has worked as a freelance costume designer since 2010, including at Schauspiel Frankfurt, Burgtheater in Vienna, Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin, HAU Berlin, Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf, Salzburger Festspiele, Schauspiel Leipzig, Theater Basel, Volkstheater Wien, Staatstheater Karlsruhe, Nationaltheater Belgrade, Les Grands Ballets Montreal and Teater De Vill Stockholm. She has a close and long-standing collaboration with the director Miloš Lolić. She has also designed costumes for productions by Herbert Fritsch, Tilman Gersch, Matthias Faltz, Robert Jelinek, Roscha A. Säidow, Thomas Dannemann, Lily Sykes, Fabian Hinrichs and the choreographers Ronald Savkovic, Yuki Mori and Stephan Thoss, among others. ugly duckling is her first collaboration with Bastian Kraft.
