Vita

Mareike Beykirch was born in Quedlinburg and initially worked as an assistant director at Osnabrück Theatre. From 2008 to 2012 she studied acting at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Academy of Music and Theatre in Leipzig. During her studies, she was a member of the studio at the Centraltheater Leipzig.

Her first engagement took her to the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus. From 2013 to 2019, she was a member of the ensemble at the Maxim Gorki Theatre in Berlin. From 2019 to 2023, Mareike Beykirch was a member of the ensemble at the Residenztheater in Munich.

In 2013 and 2018, she was nominated for Young Actress of the Year by the critics' survey of the magazine “Theater heute”. She was a fellow of the International Forum at the 2019 Berliner Theatertreffen. In 2023, she received the Young Actress Award at the Filmkunsttage MV for her first leading role in a film.

She has worked with Thom Luz, Falk Richter, Nora Abdel-Maksoud, Schorsch Kamerun, Anna-Elisabeth Frick, Christian Weise, Ulrich Rasche, Christian Weise, András Dömötör and Nurkan Erpulat, among others.

Mareike Beykirch has been a member of the Deutsches Theater Berlin ensemble since the 2023/24 season.
