Berlin-Friedrichshain 1993. A group of ten friends decide to found their own club and choose the former VEB Zentralvieh- und Schlachthof of the former GDR. In the rooms that tens of thousands of cattle, pigs, mutton and chickens passed through in their last moments before slaughter, they finally found a place where they could fulfil their longings: To love, live and let themselves go in ecstasy. And so the empty slaughterhouse is occupied by the group and the Wursthof is created! They explore the space to driving techno sounds, discover together what they want in a good club, what values they share and what it means to be part of a counterculture. The Wursthof is gradually brought to life and the party begins.

A story that is modelled on Berlin in the 1990s, when empty buildings, the vibe of new beginnings and the techno sound of different movements laid the foundations for Berlin's now legendary club culture shortly after the fall of the Berlin Wall. For this production, the DTJung*, the children's and youth dance company of Sasha Waltz & Guests, artists from Cabuwazi Tempelhof, members of Street UniverCity Berlin and live DJ Chica Paula (Paula Schopf) come together on stage at the turntables.
