Julia Gräfner, born in Schwerin in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, completed her acting studies at Bern University of the Arts in 2012. She then worked as a freelancer at the Konzert Theater Bern, Luzerner Theater, Ballhaus Ost Berlin and Sophiensaele Berlin, among others, while also completing her Master's degree in Scenic Arts Practice, also at the Bern University of the Arts.

Julia Gräfner was a member of the ensemble at Schauspielhaus Graz from 2015 to 2020, followed by a three-year engagement at the Münchner Kammerspiele.

She also works as a voice actress, film actress and acting teacher. She is also constantly developing workshops and her own projects in collaboration with other artists. Because: ‘Thinking alone is criminal’ (Les Reines Prochaines).

Julia Gräfner has been a member of the Deutsches Theater Berlin ensemble since the 2023/24 season.
