Vita
Born in Hamburg. Studied acting from 2004 to 2008 at the Hamburg University of Music and Theater. Ensemble member at the Thalia Theater Hamburg (2008-2009) and at the Deutsches Theater Berlin (2009-2017), where he worked with Jorinde Dröse, Michael Thalheimer, Lilja Rupprecht, Sebastian Hartmann, Milan Peschel, and Studio Braun, among others.
Since 2017, Moritz Grove has been working as a freelance actor at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg, Schauspielhaus Zürich, and Deutsches Theater Berlin with Anita Vulesica, Jan Bosse, Lilja Rupprecht, Milan Peschel, Nis-Momme Stockmann, and Jan-Christoph Gockel, among others.
In addition to theater, he has worked in film and radio and as a lecturer at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts, the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf, and the Hamburg University of Music and Theater.
In 2011, Moritz Grove received the Berlin Art Prize in the category “Promotion Prize for Performing Arts” as well as the Daphne Prize from the TheaterGemeinde Berlin. With Anita Vulesica's production Die Maschine oder Über allen Gipfeln ist Ruh (The Machine or Above All Peaks is Peace), he was invited to the Berlin Theatertreffen in 2025.
