New drama create and experience

ATT: More than a festival Author's programme at Deutsches Theater

Writing and the theatre have always had a close and exciting relationship. Author's theatre means questioning this force field and seeing it as a creative engine: How do we need to think about theatre so that it can be a good partner for authors? How does the interplay between author and theatre give rise to the great stage moments of the present?

The authors' programme at the Deutsches Theater Berlin is divided into several areas:

It presents new drama at a festival, promotes the creation of new theatre texts in its studios and opens up spaces for discussion for contemporary authors in German-speaking countries and worldwide.

ATT Forum We see us at the DT!

The Forum is the place for networking and debate: an academy programme accompanying the festival brings together playwrights, theatre makers, publishers, agents, partner festivals, funding programmes and, in particular, young artists from higher education and writing schools in conference formats. The Forum offers opportunities to get to know each other – and space to talk about writing.
