Komi Mizrajim Togbonou, born in Remscheid, is an actor, musician and activist. In 2008, he played in Christoph Schlingensief's Eine Kirche der Angst vor dem Fremden in mir. Guest engagements have taken him to Schauspiel Bremen, Heidelberg, Freiburg, Graz, Potsdam, Bonn, Frankfurt and Berlin. He has worked with Herbert Fritsch (Die Nibelungen, Pfusch), the AndCompany&Co (Orpheus in der Oberwelt: Eine Schlepperoper) and Mathias Kaschier (Einer flog über das Kuckucksnest), among others. In 2016/17, he performed at Schauspielhaus Graz in Jan-Christoph Gockel's Der Auftrag: Dantons Tod and Die Revolution frisst ihre Kinder! The role of Helicon in Caligula took him to the Salzburger Landestheater as a guest in 2019/2020.
Togbonou has been a member of the ensemble at the Münchner Kammerspiele since 2020, where he can currently be seen in Wir Schwarzen müssen zusammenhalten - eine Erwiderung (director: Jan-Christoph Gockel).
His moving image appearances include Tatort and the short films Ein Teller Suppe (director: Fred R. Willitzkat) and Elf Onkel (director: Herbert Fritsch). Togbonou is a member of the artists' association Marsnetz. He works as a musician for Nina Hagen, Die Fantastischen Vier and Thomas D., among others; he himself sings in the soul boogaloo band ‘El Cartel’ and the rock formation ‘Silberrücken’.
Komi Mizrajim Togbonou has been a member of the Deutsches Theater Berlin ensemble since the 2023/24 season.
