Thomas Langguth was born in Berlin. He trained as a lighting technician at the Komische Oper Berlin and has worked at the DT since 1983. After qualifying as a lighting technician, he also worked as a lighting designer for productions by: Alexander Lang, Michael Thalheimer, Hans Neuenfels, Stephan Kimmig, Frank Abt, Jürgen Gosch, Bastian Kraft, Jette Steckel, Stefan Pucher, Tilmann Köhler, Christopher Rüping and others.
