The Earth's resources are almost completely depleted and a mysterious disease brings all life to a standstill: Plasticised bodies of those who could not escape are piling up on the streets. Blood flows more slowly through the bodies of the infected, and movement becomes sluggish as the plastic, which is microscopically small in the body, closes all pores and brings the organism to a standstill.

The only hope lies on Mars, and to find out which of the remaining Earthlings deserve to be saved from plasticisation and the sinking Earth, an algorithm has been created by those who already live on Mars. This algorithm is supposed to test a selected group of Earthlings for their suitability for one of the few places on the Martian colony. But suddenly the algorithm begins to behave strangely and starts thinking about the Earthlings, their plight and its mysterious creator.

Sarah Calörtscher is an author, dramaturg and musician and received the prestigious Kleist Prize 2024 for her first theatre piece Herz aus Polyester. In her work, she searches for musical narrative structures and creates linguistic structures that can be forward-looking for the possibilities and means of expression for digital storytelling from the stage.
