Vita

Manuel Harder was born in Valparaíso (Chile) and grew up in Bremen. After studying theatre studies and new German literature and training as an actor (Athanor Academy with Prof. David Esrig), he was a member of the ensemble at the Salzburger Landestheater, Schauspiel Dortmund, Centraltheater Leipzig, Schauspiel Frankfurt and Schauspiel Stuttgart. Guest engagements at the Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz, among others.

Manuel Harder has worked with Lilja Rupprecht, Sebastian Hartmann, Jürgen Kruse, Anne Lenk, René Pollesch, Robert Borgmann, Martin Laberenz, Karin Henkel, Armin Petras, Luk Perceval, Jorinde Dröse, Amélie Niermeyer, Sascha Hawemann, Mareike Mikat, SIGNA, Michael Gruner, Hermann Schmidt-Rahmer, Thirza Br-uncken, among others.

He has realised various productions, play developments, world premieres (including texts by Arthur Rimbaud, Else Lasker Schüler, Carsten Brandau, Guillaume Paoli, Bonaventura) as well as research and international exchange projects in Dortmund, Leipzig, Vienna, Stuttgart and Chişinau (Rep. Moldova). He teaches acting at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy University of Music and Theatre Leipzig and the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, among others.

Manuel Harder has been a member of the ensemble at Deutsches Theater Berlin since the 2017/18 season.
